Greater Houston Prayer Gathering is the collaboration of Pastors, Church leaders, and intercessors from across the Greater Houston Metro Area waiting for GOD to visit the City of Houston with the revival of global impact. In the last 22 years, Pastors and intercessors from different Churches have gathered at the steps of the City Hall of Houston to pray 2 Chronicles 7:14 over Houston and the nation. With broken hearts and tears, we have confessed our sins and held onto the promises of GOD for our city and nation. Now, we believe the set time has come for the LORD to favor Houston with the fulfillment of the promised revival. Our nation needs GOD. Our Churches need revival;our cities need transformation, and the LORD has, through various prophecies and revelations, ordained the City of Houston as the place for the next outpouring of the Spirit of GOD on the nations.

So, like the sons of Issachar who had the understanding of the times and knew what Israel ought to do, we the Pastors, Church and Ministry Leaders, and Intercessors from across the Greater Houston Metro Area understand that though the Church is doctrinally and denominationally divided, we are one body in Christ Jesus. Thus with one voice, one mind, and one purpose, we stand together in humility to lift up Jesus in Houston and to pray, “LORD, send revival now.”

From the first GHPG in 2000 with Pastor Jim Harrington and 7 other Houston area Pastors to the 2022 prayer gathering with Pastor Doug Stringer and 22 coordinating Pastors, the Greater Houston Prayer Gathering has taken place at the Houston City Hall, 901 Bagbe Street with the approval from the office of the Mayor of Houston.

However, because the LORD has ordained to do a new thing this year in the City of Houston, the prayer gathering will be held at the exquisite Delmar Fieldhouse.
